Carlos Morra and Ernst Franzek: Psychopathological Symptoms
Stereotypy

Definition: Repetitive, non-goal-directed movements carried out in a uniform or patterned manner in exactly the same way and often for a long time (Petho and Ban 1989).

Exploration: The presence of stereotypy is established by observing a patient with or without interacting with him/her (Fink and Taylor 2003).
