Gerd Huber and Gisela Gross: The Development of the Psychopathology in Germany in the Last Decades (20th century) with an Introduction by Carlos R. Hojaij

Edwin Fann’s comments

I read over the Huber-Gross paper. It is an excellent disquisition on these matters for its time, although it is, of course, derivative and reflects the empiricism of that era. This is about as laudatory as I can be about this exceptionally good review paper. Neuroscience is taking us into an age of rational clinical psychiatry (wouldn’t you and I love to be starting our careers today!) so we will no longer need to depend on intuition and impressions (i.e., praecox gefuehl) and such for our diagnoses.
