Jay Ámsterdam:Letter from Jonathan Cole (March 16, 2004)

Samuel Gershon’s comment on Jay Amsterdam, Tom Ban, Max Fink and Sam Gershon’s E-mail exchange

I have little to add to this discussion other than to repeat the need for caution about accepting a new treatment for those illnesses that do not have a clearly successful and established treatment.

There clearly is the likelihood of the appeal of a new therapeutic claim with  some aspects of transient improvement.  I did see the absolute faith that was offered to Insulin Coma Therapy in the ‘60s in both Russia and Israel, as well as in Australia.
